Photos of Treecreepers. The treecreeper is the only bird that feeds by spiralling up a tree searching in cracks for insects. It then flies down to the base of the next tree. It is distinguished fron other small brown birds by its long downward curved bill and stiff pointed feathers in the centre of its graduated tail. The treecreeper usually draws attention to itself via its high thin call which goes 'tsee'. The call is so high some people have difficulty hearing it. |
