Photographs of Waders including Golden Plovers, Curlew and Oystercatchers. Sometimes referred to as shorebirds they generally have long legs. However, the name Wader is a little misleading because some birds never live near the shore and rarely wade. Other members of this group are Godwits, Avocets, Stilts and Sandpipers.
